At Empowered to Live, Inc., we are dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and families by providing essential workforce development programs. Our focus is on helping young individuals achieve economic mobility through comprehensive training and education, fostering personal growth, and building sustainable futures. We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we are committed to delivering programs that equip them with the skills and resources necessary for success.
Our Story
In 2016, Empowered to Live, Inc. was founded on the belief that every individual deserves access to opportunities that lead to stability, growth, and purpose. Many young people and families face barriers to employment, education, and career advancement—not because they lack potential, but because they lack access to the right resources, support, and pathways.
Through years of experience working in housing, workforce development, and community economic development, our founder recognized the need for programs that help individuals move beyond survival and toward long-term economic mobility. Empowered to Live was created to help bridge those gaps by connecting youth and families to workforce training, education, and supportive resources that open doors to meaningful careers and brighter futures.
Our flagship initiative, Project GUIDE, prepares youth and young adults ages 16–24 for careers in the construction and skilled trades industry through hands-on training, industry-recognized certifications, career readiness development, and supportive services.
By working in partnership with community organizations, employers, and training providers, Empowered to Live is committed to building pathways that empower individuals to gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to live empowered and purpose-driven lives.
Enrollment Information
We welcome youth and young adults aged 16 to 24 to join our transformative programs. Our enrollment process is straightforward, and we encourage interested individuals to reach out to learn more about the opportunities available. Through our programs, participants will gain valuable skills, industry certifications, and real-world experience that will prepare them for a successful career in the skilled trades.

These partnerships play a critical role in supporting Project GUIDE, our pre-apprenticeship workforce training program. Our Funders
Since our journey began in 2021, Empowered to Live has been supported by partners who believe in expanding opportunities for youth and families. Our work was made possible through an initial $20,000 seed investment from Our Heaven Cause Foundation, which helped lay the foundation for our programs and early impact.
